| CHOPICALQUI MOUNTAIN

SERVICES INCLUDED: Transportation by vehicle to and from the roadhead, two-man tents including sleeping pads, pack animals, kitchen crew and commissary gear with all meals included as well as a bilingual guide on the trek, who will handle the first aid kit.

SERVICES NOT INCLUDED: Alcoholic beverages, extras, tips, taxes, laundry service, additional tours, insurance, sleeping bags, hiking boots and other personal gear.

 
 




DAY 1: 5 hours aproximately 

Huaraz – Base Camp Chopicalqui

After the breakfast in the Hotel we will aboard the private bus to go along the Callejón de Huaylas in the north side of Huaraz, after driving for 2 hours aprox we will register in the National Parks Control, passing the Llanganuco lake Chinancocha and Orconcocha, where we will have Lunch, then in the early afternoon we will continue going up to the Ancush Valley between Huascarán and Chopicalqui, we will arrive to the Base Camp around 2pm. overnight camping at (4,200 m.a.s.l).

DAY 2: 5 hours aproximately 

Base Camp Chopicalqui – Moraine Camp

After the breakfast we will walk for about 4 hours rocky path and get the Moraine camp, where we will enjoy a splendors views of the mountains Pisco, Chacraraju and others, after to arrive we will check our climbing equipments, overnight camping at (4,612 m.a.s.l.)

DAY 3: 4 hours aproximately

Moreine Camp – Camp1

After the breakfast we will hike up for 40 minutes, after the hike up we will get the glacier where we will put our equipments gears to start climbing for about 3 hours to get the camp 1. Overnight in the glacier at (5,500 m.a.s.l.).

DAY 4: 8 horas aproximately 

Camp 1 – Summit Chopicalqui – Moraine Camp

Today we will leave at 3 a.m. in the morning after breakfast, climbing for about 4 hours will get the summit 6,354 m.a.s.l., then after enjoy the views for few minutes will come back to the moraine camp, where the cook will be waiting with highland dish, and overnight at 4,612 m.a.s.l. camping.

 

DAY 5: 5 horas aproximately

Moraine Camp – Base Camp – Huaraz

After the last Andean breakfast we will go dawn hill to the trailhead, where the bus will be waiting for us, and we will be transferred to Huaraz, making the last stop for lunch in the selected nice spot in the way, overnight at Hotel Huaraz
